Forest Lakes Community Church is served by 20 different guest Pastors who teach on a rotating basis. Our guest speakers receive a modest honorarium.

Our Church was founded on July 1, 1986 by homeowners and vacationers to worship God and His Son, Jesus Christ, on the Rim. We have no paid staff and rely on volunteers.

We are a Bible-based non-denominational Church and we welcome everyone to join us in worship.

The purpose of Forest Lakes Community Church:

  1. To Worship and Glorify God. (John 4:23-24)
  2. To edify believers and exhibit authentic Christian living. (Ephesians 4:12)
  3. To proclaim the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to reach unbelievers. (Mark 16:15)
  4. To promote the fellowship of the saints as taught in the Holy Scriptures. (1 John 1:3,7)
  5. To promote Missionary interests and endeavors. (Romans 10:14)

Statement of Faith for Forest Lakes Community Church:

  1. We believe the Bible is the only inspired, authoritative written Word of God, inerrant in the original manuscripts.
  2. We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
  4. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
  5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
  7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Bible

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only begotten Son, that who ever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.John 3:16 (KJV)
Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman (tested by trial) who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.2 Timothy 2:15 (AMP)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.Proverbs 3:5-8 (NASB)
